I live in the Beacon Falls, CT, area and I am a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and also The University of New England. During the previous several years, I have been tutoring children ranging from K-8 grades in mathematics, reading, writing, and language arts. I have developed a great passion for tutoring online students; I have had the opportunity to tutor children from much of the US and Canada, as well as in China and even South Korea! It has been a very interesting and rewarding experience to be able to help students from such far away places find success with their educational struggles. It is my goal to present a fun and safe environment, and I teach by allowing students to apply real life references to the material. This also allows me to present the reason that a particular subject may be so important later in life. I tutor courses in reading, writing, phonics, grammar and mechanics, English, lower-level ISEE, elementary mathematics, and test preparation for elementary level SSAT. I enjoy spending time at the beach, reading, and jewelry making. I have also learned how to provide animal therapy and often work with my Standard Poodle, Charo.
