Education

SUNYit Utica, NY, Electrical & Computer Engineering/BS, 2008 Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU-POLY). Electrical Engineering/MS, 2012

Experience

I graduated from SUNY Polytechnic Institute with Bachelor of Sciences in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering with minors in Math and Computer Science. I also hold a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 3.7 GPA, Concentration in Electrical Power System, along with a Graduate Certificate in Power System and Electronics from NYU-POLY in Brooklyn NY. I was attending NYU-POLY as a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering. However, due to my current Job I am taking a break from school to focus on my career. I am also researching graduate schools to complete my studies. I’m currently working as an Electrical Engineering Manager designing and building power plants. I have strong engineering background with experience in Control Design Engineer for the NAVY, Power System and Power Plant Design, High Voltage Power System and Test System Design, Project Management, Engineering Management, Business Development, Career Development, and many others. With over twenty years’ experience in teaching and tutoring, I have taught students in Geometry, pre-algebra, algebra 1, algebra 2, pre-calculus, calculus I/II/III, differential equations, physics, numerical computation, programming in C/C++ and Assembly Language, and QuickBooks. Also, I have received recognitions from SUNY Polytechnic Institute for outstanding student staff contribution to the College of Science and Technology. Two of the most important attributes of a good teacher or tutor are patience and the ability to break down difficult subject matters. These I do possess, among others that would qualify me to be the person to teach you or your child. I take studying seriously and encourage students to make it a priority to ensure successful mastery of subject matters. Not all of us are born with the genius genes; however, we all have the ability to work hard and hard work does pay off in life. With this in mind I teach techniques that do not rely solely on memorization, but rather a process of how to think and solve problems systematically. I focus primarily on principles and concepts. When one learn at this level they retain the material for years to come. I will teach you or your child how to master the skills necessary to be successful problem solvers. I work with small groups or on an individual basis. I love people and enjoy helping others to become successful and fulfilled human beings. Life has taught me that to be successful we all rely on others to teach us what we do not know. Once successful in our endeavors, we must be willing to give back to society. Helping others to learn is one of the ways I give back. If you have the need to learn, why not let an esteemed individual in education, who is a professional engineer, help you to be successful. I wouldn’t have become successful without the help of others. Let me return the favor by helping you overcome your challenges.
